Kay is a typical high school student who wants to fit in and get a good scholarship, so does everything she can to achieve it. She is friends with popular girls and is the leader of the school’s soccer team. But she’s done things that hurt people. And people you hurt can seek revenge. This is also evident from the email that the dead student sent to Kay. If she doesn’t do what it says in the mail, her lies and secrets will be revealed.
It’s a YA mystery so the writing style is easy and smooth to read. The events that are happening are simply described and everything takes place at school. Kay tries to find out who killed the student and also tries to carry out the assignments she received by email. Is this the best YA mystery I’ve read? No. The plot was pretty boring and standard. Kay as a person is fairly developed but throughout the story, I had no connection with her, the same goes for all the other characters. There isn’t any tension in the story and it is quite predictable who did it. It’s an okay book and I had fun reading it. I would recommend this book if you want to try out mystery books or want to read more mystery.
